We are looking to add a dynamic supervisor to the Airport Aviation Sector. As a Supervisor you will be dealing with unionized employees operating under the Canada Labour Code. We are looking to find the right person to be an effective Supervisor, who is able to provide support and mentoring to all areas of the Operation. You will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring adherence to Company policies and procedures, and responsible for the excellent customer service for clients and passengers at the airport.



Upon arrival at work you will:

  • Receive briefing from the shift Supervisor about ongoing issues
  • Check to ensure all operational guards are assigned as required
  • Ensure equipment checks for all required items are completed
  • Review Shift Logs
  • Make note of any issues arising during the shift and report
  • Check the schedule to ensure all posts are covered - if not, commence scheduling functions as necessary to fill the vacancy
  • Commence circle checks of company vehicles prior to operating
  • Receive check-ins for shift changeover after scheduling hours


Requirements during your Shift;

  • Complete Inspections of employees and posts
  • Ensure all guards are knowledgeable of their duties and report results
  • Complete spot checks and reports in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Respond as required to client concerns and emergencies throughout the airport
  • Upon completion of your shift, you will be required to complete all required forms, and provide a briefing to the relieving Supervisor
  • Complete all PTS and Log sheets as required before leaving for the day
  • Ensure all reports are submitted to scheduling and briefs are sent to the Service delivery Manager and Director of Operations as needed



  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant with residence in Canada of at least 5 years (Transport Canada Clearance)
  • Must have a valid Ontario Guard licence and keep current every two years as part of your employment
  • Must be 25 years of age or older
  • Must have a full 'G' Ontario Driver's license with no restrictions
  • Must have a clean Driver's Abstract
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Minimum of 2 years employment with A.S.P. incorporated and/or one of the following requirements; Previous Security Supervisory experience; Sufficient prior industry related experience (i.e. Police, Military, and Security); Formal law enforcement training or Diploma
  • Must be willing and able to participate in the Company Basic Security Training Programs that involve 2 or more unpaid classroom training days as a pre requisite for employment – you must participate and pass annual re-testing as required to remain current on certifications
  • Must have completed Customer Service Training
  • Must be trained in First Aid & CPR and updated every two years, as outlined in your employment agreement
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions, indoors and outdoors
  • At times you may be required to work in dusty or dirty environments
  • Must be physically capable of performing all duties as set out in the General Orders
  • May at times be required to lift and/or carry objects of up to 50 pounds in weight
  • Must be able to climb stairs, walk long distances, run short distances and stand for long periods of time
  • Must have the ability to discriminate among standard colours
  • Must have good hearing
  • Must have good vision
  • Must be able to deal with difficult persons on a regular basis
  • Must be able to work all shifts, including nights and rotations
  • Must be able to work overtime, if required from time to time
  • Must be capable and able to work alone without Supervision
