We are in need of a Human Resource Administrator for airport operations at Toronto Pearson International Airport.



To effectively manage all aspects of the companies Human Resources Administrative needs. To maintain an efficient office and filing infrastructure for personnel and related records. To effectively update all new information in the scheduling system and possibly payroll system. To ensure proper execution of procedure and compliance to all required documentation. To provide other services as necessary.

In addition, the Human Resources Administrator must ensure proper execution of procedure and compliance relating to all required documentation and collective agreement provisions


Standard Hours of Operation:

The Human Resources Department will be available for calls between 08:00 and 16:30. Times may be adjusted as workload requires. 

Job Knowledge

  • Knowledgeable of the contents of the General Orders and the guidelines contained therein
  • Knowledgeable of government statutory reporting including WSIB and related statutes
  • Knowledgeable of all Legal Authorities pertaining to duties
  • Knowledgeable of Human Resources processes and policies
  • General knowledge on maintenance of company growth and profit objectives
  • Knowledgeable of company ISO 9001 QPM and QSP Manuals and associated forms

Public Relations

  • Able to interact effectively with all A.S.P. Incorporated and affiliate employees
  • Able to interact effectively with all site client representatives and management
  • Able to interact effectively with all co-workers and A.S.P. Incorporated management
  • Able to interact effectively with public officials, including emergency services personnel


  • Computer literacy is required, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and MS Outlook email
  • Must be able to operate windows based computer systems.
  • Must have proficient typing skills
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult callers, stressful situations and multiple tasks in a professional, positive and constructive manner
  • Has conflict resolution skills and is able to use them effectively
  • Demonstrates good judgment in the performance of all duties
  • Displays versatility in dealings with clients, tenants and the public


  • In conjunction with the Recruiter, sources candidates for employment through the placement of advertisements and/or employee referrals
  • Conducts initial telephone screening for all applicants, and books interviews
  • Completes reference checks
  • Completes and reviews all employee file related documents.
  • Provide support to Recruiter to prepare for company hiring events, even when conducted off site
  • Responsible for all aspects of licensing, including renewals and terminations in accordance with Ministry requirements
  • Maintains all employee files and ensures compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
  • Coordinates the purchasing and issue of all uniforms with the Administrator to ensure requirements are met
  • Maintains accuracy of scheduling database, review dates, start dates and pay rates.
  • Creates and maintains accurate employee profiles in the scheduling system and/or HRIMS which may involve conversion from paper to digital of legacy employee files.
  • Maintains an up to date database for all Human Resources related information
  • Control and administration of first aid and CPR Courses in conjunction with the National Employee Development Manager
  • Ensures office area is kept clean, neat and professional in appearance
  • Assists all aspects of Health & Safety as it relates to employees
  • Ensures ISO 9001: 2008 procedures are followed
  • Monitors review dates of all L.B.P.I.A. employees and ensures reviews are conducted on time
  • Performs a reasonable amount of overtime as required
  • Ensures queries are responded to from
  • Assists in screening resumes
  • Maintains an excellent knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for unionized operations and ensures that scheduling is done in accordance with the provisions contained therein
  • Other duties as may be required from time to time

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be Bondable
  • Must have Ontario Drivers License with no restrictions
  • Degree/Diploma from a recognized University/College
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Must have clean drivers abstract
  • Minimum of 2 years employment with A.S.P. incorporated and/or one of the following requirements
